RosettaPress does not include a built-in multicurrency engine — and that’s by design. Instead, it works seamlessly with any third-party multicurrency plugin by leveraging the native separation of sites in WordPress Multisite.
Because each language lives in its own subsite, you can independently configure currencies per site using the WooCommerce-compatible multicurrency plugin of your choice.
Compatible with All Major Multicurrency Plugins
You’re free to use any of the following (and more):
- Currency Switcher for WooCommerce (by Aelia)
- Multi-Currency for WooCommerce (by VillaTheme)
- YITH Multi Currency Switcher
Each subsite can be:
- Configured with its own default currency
- Connected to regional payment gateways
- Localized for country-specific taxes and shipping rules
This approach keeps things modular, scalable, and performance-optimized — while giving you full control over pricing, taxes, and checkout flows on a per-market basis.
Tip: Use Domain-Based or Region-Specific Sites
Because each site is independent, you can map domain variations like:
example.com
(USD)example.de
(EUR)example.co.uk
(GBP)
This structure pairs perfectly with RosettaPress’s translation system and gives you maximum flexibility for ecommerce operations.
